As I write this I have no idea who won the election and yet, I am so very grateful for the opportunity to vote. I stand awestruck at the sacrifice and vision of our forefathers and foremothers who not only envisioned a change in the world in which they lived but were willing to sacrifice all to make it a reality.

I am eternally grateful to those who have offered and paid the ultimate sacrifice to defend my ability to vote.

This election has, unlike any other I can recall, been divisive. Emotions and feeling have run high. Friendships have become splintered and some have been severed. My hope for the future is that we embrace our sameness! That we embrace what make us great, the ability to disagree and yet work together for the greater good!

I am thankful everyday to live in a land where freedom is more than a catch word but a value of substance.

In the morning I hope we will set aside that which divides us and embrace that which will heal.

God Bless America!

<post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">2642</post-id>
