Are you limited by your Beliefs?

Everyone had beliefs they hold onto. These beliefs are thoughts you have repeated to yourself so many time you now belief them to be gospel. You have decided to embrace these ideas as your truth. Is it wrong to have beliefs? No.

However, conceivably the beliefs you have decided to embrace are limiting you. Maybe, you believe work must be a daily grind that you detest. Perhaps you believe dreams are not practical. Possibly, you have bought into the idea that having responsibility means you never have fun. Is it wrong to have limiting beliefs? Yes.

For years, athletes attempted to run a mile in four minutes but it seemed to be a barrier that no one could overcome. Then on May 6, 1954, a British runner named Roger Gilbert Bannister ran a mile in 3:59.4 minutes to establish a world record. Soon afterward, other runners broke Bannister’s record. Why were other runners able to break Bannister record so easily, when the four-minute mile was so difficult? Because they no longer held onto their limiting beliefs, they could achieve their goals.

Are your beliefs limiting you?

Now is the time to reclaim your power, and choose to stop believing. It can really be that simple.

You can have the life you want;

Your do deserve success;

You can write a book, or lose weight, or be an astronaut;

You can [insert your goal here]

I challenge you picture yourself after you have reached your goal. Repeat after me  “I can (insert your goal here)”. Repeat this thought until you have replaced your limiting thought with this new one.
