Like most people I have spent a life time trying to fit in. I’ve been that round peg trying to fit the square holes. But as my sister so likes to point out, I march to my own drummer.
For years I accepted the notion that being different, that being me was bad.
However age, I’m amazingly nearing fifty, and life experience now tells me that I wasted far too much time and energy on trying be someone I am not.
Dolly Parton said “Figure out who you are and then do it on purpose.” I don’t think I’ve ever heard better advice.
Be your own weird self today! People may not love you for it, but you’ll love yourself!
