Feels Like We’re Living in Star Trek

While attending a meeting a few days ago, someone mentioned a video of a 3D printer that was making the rounds. When I returned to my computer, someone, completely unrelated to the meeting,  had emailed the video. Like anyone who has watched this video, I was amazed. and skeptical. It looks a little to far fetched to be true….or is it? According to SNOPES, it is indeed a real thing. According to Wikipedia ‘Since 2003 there has been large growth in the sale of 3D printers. Additionally, the cost of 3D printers has declined.[2] The technology also finds use in the jewelry, footwear, industrial design, architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), automotive, aerospace, dental and medical industries, education, GIS, civil engineers, etc.’ According to my limited research, The rest of the story

And what parts of the body can you expect to see results? Headlines from fitness magazines promise exercises to blast away belly fat and activities to spot-reduce flab. The scientific evidence, unfortunately, doesn’t back those sexy headlines. Here are three things to know about weight-loss and body fat. You can’t change your shape, just your size. You can’t cherry-pick where you shed fat; weight loss doesn’t work like a point-and-shoot. MRIs, The rest of the story

A Modern Rain Dance

2011/07/24 Gayle 0

Took the time today to wash my truck. Even in the midst of an epic drought, it still rained within 30 minutes of the wash. My theory is that municipalities need to change their drought theories. Rather than banning car washing during a drought, they should encourage it. By the way, I am testing a new found freedom. The ability to email via my phone and have ti post to my blog. Look for shorted more spontaneous quips as I fill up my nes category, phone it in.
