You know the saying, ‘Bird of a feather flock together’. Everyone tends to find and develop friendships with people who are like them. If you develop friendships with people who’s ideas, attitudes and beliefs are opposite from your own, the friendship will likely not survive. Your friends are a reflection of you and vice versa.
Experts in human behavior have discovered that it is virtually impossible for an individual member of a group not to be affected by other members. If the members of your group tend to be negative, you will find yourself following that mental pattern. If you are in a group of positive individuals, you will find yourself also following that pattern.
Associate with happy, positive, productive people. You do not have to quit being friends (or family) with a negative individual. However, you should limit the amount of time you spend with them. Your time is an asset to be managed as carefully as your money; spend it with people who share your desire to succeed and your commitment to maintain a Positive Mental Attitude.
