Today’s nativity was purchased online several years ago, it said made in Kenya. I love the fragileness of this nativity, and the sheep that’s a little wonky and takes effort to help it stand. And the dog (that’s what I deemed it) that seems to be lifting his leg.
This nativity reminds us that life is fragile, and to hold each other gently. Perhaps we all need a little help standing from time to time (not just on our physical feet, but also as we’ve been beaten down by life and others). And like the little dog lifting his leg, not all needs can be put off…life is urgent, life is messy, life is happening now.
