LinkedIn hits 100 million users

I must admit that although I have a LinkedIn account, it is not my go-to for social interaction. I see it much more of a place for jobseekers and those looking to hire. LinkedIn this week announced it now has 100 million users. The social networking company may be half the size of Twitter and have only a fraction of Facebook’s numbers but is a powerful player. Forty-four percent of the site’s members are in the United States, though the fastest growing regions are in emerging economies. Every business should have a presence on LinkedIn. Does yours?

Sugar-free no bake cookies

Last week I visited my family. Rather than being encouraging in my quest to be sugar-free, they were discouraging. I heard multiple times how it was ‘just genetics’ and I should ‘accept that I would become a diabetic’. No doubt this attitude was fueled by the fact that they are already required to use medication to try to manage their blood-sugar levels. I say try because it seems the attempts are less than successful. It has taken me about a week to recover from the familial visit (and yes, my family has this affect on every aspect of my life), but I am back on track! Dream Catcher Lore: Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams both good and bad.
