It is so easy to get caught up in life and forget that we really do recharge our bodies, minds and soul with sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF). Yet millions of people do not get enough sleep and many suffer from lack of sleep. For example, surveys conducted by the NSF (1999-2004) reveal that at least 40 million Americans suffer from over 70 different sleep disorders and 60 percent of adults report having sleep problems a few nights a week or more. via the American Psychological Association I am very thankful for my ability to sleep. I only wish I took more advantage of this blessing 🙂

You know the song: Make new friends, but keep the old.One is silver, the other is gold. A circle is round, it has no end. That’s how long, I will be your friend. A fire burns bright, it warms the heart. We’ve been friends, from the very start. You have one hand, I have the other. Put them together, We have each other. Silver is precious, Gold is too. I am precious, and so are you. You help me, and I’ll help you and together we will see it through. The sky is blue The Earth is green I can help to keep it clean Across the land Across the sea Friends forever We will always be. Today I am thankful for friends of long longevity. There seems to always be some place I want to go; some people I want to spend time with; or some task I need to complete. Today I am thankful for quiet time. True quiet time gives me a chance to reflect, recharge and rejuvenate.

Today I am Thankful for my Health

Last year on the first day of November  I embarked on a journey to have 30 days of thankfulness. I wanted to note one thing every day for which I was thankful. While I believe it is important to be thankful everyday, November seemed the perfect month to highlight just how blessed I am and to be mindful to express my gratitude. Last year I was posting my daily gratitude just to my facebook. Sadly,  I did not finish my 30-day journey. Health issues took over. This year with renewed fervor, I am again embarking on a 30-day journey to be thankful each day for one thing in my life. Day One After last year’s health scare. …After months of recovery…. I have a whole The rest of the story
