The Power of Gratitude
I have been happily married for many years. It is by no means a perfect relationship but it is as close as two fallible humans can make it.
I have been happily married for many years. It is by no means a perfect relationship but it is as close as two fallible humans can make it.
How often does this happen to you? You allow someone else to take control. Well, stop. Just stop letting them move you off course. In life there are things that will occur which will change your plan or cause you to alter your plan. However, it is always your choice whether an event is worthy.
you are the captain of your thoughts. You and you alone control your mental attitude.
Expect the best but anticipate the worst. You may have heard this expression. It was (and still is) my mother’s great advice. Unfortunately, by planning for the worst, you are short changing your potential. I am not suggesting that you run out tomorrow and spend your life savings. Nor am I suggesting that you fail to act responsibly. What I am saying is that by anticipating the worst, you are creating a conflict in your brain. Abraham Lincoln said a house divided against itself cannot stand. The same is true for your brain. Your brain can not remain positive while contemplating the worst. You cannot remain focused on reaching your goals if all you see are the obstacles. Expect the best. Focus on your goal. The rest of the story
You can train your brain to always think positive and you can teach yourself to always react in a positive way.
