Blogging and my ‘Crashing Thoughts Theory’

I started blogging not quite three years ago. When I started I named my blog ‘Not Your Mom’s Blog’ and I rambled on and on about a variety of topics. The one day while hanging with a friend in a bar, we hit on the idea to change my blog to more of a blogging forum. We recruited five writers and they have been posting there, with random consistency, since August 2009. I now act solely as an editor for that space.

When my blog was ‘taken over’ by other bloggers, I created a new blog (this one). I don’t post as often as I should. Mostly, I share things that amuse me or things I wish to rant about or the discombobulated rambling of my brain (much like this post).

Last July, I started a new blog. I call it ‘Stay on Target Coach’. When I started this blog I was singular of focus. I concentrated on goals and achieving those goals. Although, I still spend time on those issues, I now try to just write something inspirational several times each week (I’d like to it to be daily but that equals a lot of words).

I also have a photo blog. I try to not write anything there, just share photos from my too few adventures.

Lastly, I have a new fledgling blog. I found that I needed an outlet for my thoughts on God, religion and the things that can and do separate us from our spiritual beings. So I recently started ‘Nothing Can Separate’. I have a lot of thoughts on the matter, and very few outlets for discussion. A blog seems like a simple solution.

The real reason I write is less for other people and much more for me. I have an over active mind and I sometimes feel as if my thoughts crash into each other. I hope that by setting some of them free, I can allow space for other thoughts…it’s a theory, anyway.
