Working for the Weekend

In the 1980’s the group Loverboy came out with a song that said ‘Everybody’s working for the weekend” It is a catchy tune:

I know, now you’ll be humming it all day. Happy Friday, by the way. No doubt, you have weekend plans. Like most of us, you probably started making weekend plans as soon as last weekend was over (if not sooner). While there is nothing wrong with making weekend plans, are you spending more time and energy planning your weekends or planning your life?

Your life happens all the time and if you are living weekend to weekend you’re wasting more time than you are living. What are you planning for Monday? Next week or next month?  Are you letting your life pass you by waiting for the next weekend?

When you intently study what you most desire in life, you begin to focus your mind and concentrate your energy upon that which you wish to achieve. Stop focusing on the weekend and start focusing on the goals you are going to accomplish.
