Do you ever feel like you are walking through life oblivious to people and things around you? I do! I especially felt that way yesterday. I was in the yard doing a few things and noticed this cute little snake watching me from less than a foot away. I believe I had the obvious reaction. I asked Jenn to ‘keep an eye on him while I ran to get my camera’. Fortunately he was as curious about us as we were about him and he stayed for a few candid shots.
You may have noticed this blog has been silent for quite sometime. There are several reasons for that, not all of which I will discuss here. However, suffice it to say that I have been a little off track myself and am now making a determined effort to be back on course. I have been reading 365 Thank Yous: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed My Life. I can not recommend this book enough! Finding the fault, pointing fingers at others for our problems (even those we love) is easy. Taking the time to notice and note those things we can truly be thankful for in our live can be difficult. I have been in need of a day of camera therapy for a while and although I did not get a day with my camera, I did take some time on Wednesday and visited the Farmers Market in Raleigh. Being ever resourceful, I used my Android powered HTC Desire phone to snap a few shots. It was fun to see rows and rows of fresh vegetables and fruits all grown in North Carolina. The selection of flower were also beautiful!

My journey began as an attempt to show wrought iron against a beautiful dusk sky. Soon my journey was over taken by the sight of balconies at night. I was reminded of the most famous of balconies; the one that is the set for Act 2 Scene 2. “Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief” In the end it was the colors that drew me to the photos I chose to include.
